Jessica Flowers & The New Bloom is a Columbus-based live band made up of experienced, working musicians deeply rooted in the Central Ohio music scene. These are players who have logged real hours on real stages.
The band draws from a wide and carefully chosen repertoire: Stevie Wonder and Joss Stone, Bill Withers and Olivia Dean, Sharon Jones and Dua Lipa, Lake Street Dive and Hall & Oates, Corinne Bailey Rae and St. Paul & The Broken Bones.
The thread connecting all of it isn't era or genre…it's feel. Every song on a JFNB set list earned its place because it moves people.

The inspiration
Jessica's voice has always moved between worlds — warm enough for jazz, gritty enough for soul, powerful enough for rock, and honest enough for everything in between. Rather than choose, she built a band that could handle all of it. The New Bloom exists because her voice was never going to stay in one place.
The repertoire is built from a deep love of a wide variety of genres of music. from the classic to the contemporary, from the well-known to the criminally underheard. It shouldn't work as well as it does — and that's exactly the point.
